ROK and China Complete First-stage FTA Talks

  

The seventh round of South Korea and China FTA talks was held in Wei Fang, Shan Dong Province in September 3-5, 2013. Yu Jianhua, Deputy China International Trade Representative of Ministry of Commerce, and Woo Tae-hee, South Korea’s assistant trade minister co-chaired this round of negotiations. The two Parties reached agreements on coverage by FTA agreements. Up to now, the two parties concluded the first stage FTA talks, and the second stage FTA talks are upcoming.

Sino-ROK FTA talks are in two stages. In the first stage, the two parties reached consensus on trade in goods, agreements scope, principles, frames and elements of talks of all fields.

The two parties agreed that the eighth round of Sino-ROK FTA talks will be held in ROK this year.
